Denver Broncos outside linebacker Jonathon Cooper has been arrested and jailed on domestic violence charges. The 28-year-old player faces two counts of domestic violence and one count of criminal mischief, according to Douglas County jail records. He was arrested by Parker Police late Thursday and booked into jail early Friday morning.
Cooper made his initial court appearance on Friday, with a disposition hearing scheduled for Monday. The Broncos organization stated they are "aware of the matter and are gathering more information." Cooper, a key defensive player for the Broncos since being drafted in 2021, had recently signed a significant contract extension.
