The Acer ZX Pro was slated to be a mid-range contender in the 5G smartphone market, boasting a solid set of specifications for its intended price point. At its core, it featured the Mediatek Dimensity 7400 chipset, built on a 4nm process, paired with an octa-core CPU configuration of 4x2.6 GHz Cortex-A78 and 4x2.0 GHz Cortex-A55, and a Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. This configuration promised capable performance for everyday tasks and moderate gaming.
Visually, the device was designed with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display offering a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1000 nits (HBM), with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The build incorporated a glass front and back with a plastic frame, and boasted IP64 dust and water resistance. It supported SA/NSA 5G connectivity, dual Nano-SIM cards, and offered various internal storage and RAM configurations ranging from 128GB/6GB up to 512GB/12GB.
Photography was handled by a 64 MP wide rear camera with PDAF and OIS, capable of recording video up to 1440p at 30fps. A front-facing camera with HDR support for selfies and 1440p video recording was also included. Powering the device was a 5000 mAh battery with 33W wired fast charging support. However, despite its promising specifications, the Acer ZX Pro was ultimately cancelled before its planned May 26, 2025 release, making it a ghost in the smartphone landscape.
