The RSPCA has launched an investigation after four ponies, including two foals, were rescued from a hazardous environment in Hull. The animals were discovered on February 3rd in a state of severe underweight, with a complete lack of grazing and feed. The site was littered with dangerous debris, posing a significant risk to the ponies' welfare.
One foal was found trapped in thick brambles and required careful extraction. RSPCA Inspector Laura Barber described the conditions as "hazardous" and noted that the animals' most basic needs were unmet. The ponies are now receiving care and are reportedly progressing well. The RSPCA is appealing to the public for information that could assist their ongoing enquiries into the incident.
