X, formerly Twitter, is advancing its transformation into an "everything app" with the upcoming limited launch of X Money. Currently in internal testing, the financial services component is slated for a public beta within one to two months, aiming to integrate messaging, shopping, and personal finance.
The platform has secured over 40 U.S. money transmitter licenses and partnered with Visa. Actor William Shatner has hinted at beta features like a 6% APY and a $25 welcome bonus. A standalone X Chat app is also in beta, further expanding X's ecosystem.
